Obituary

Angela Laurie, 52, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on July 1, 2026, in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

Angela was born on February 11, 1974, in Des Plaines, Illinois, and grew up in Largo, Florida. She attended Osceola High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from the National University of Science and Medicine.

For 17 years, Angela worked as a Whole-Life Strategist and Wellness and Beauty Consultant and built her business from scratch. She was passionate, ambitious, generous, and hardworking, and she approached both her personal and professional life with poise and grace.

Above all else, Angela was a devoted mother. She was immensely proud of her children and made every effort to be present for the important moments in their lives. She attended every event and performance she could, regardless of what challenges she may have been facing herself.

Even during difficult times, Angela remained concerned for others and was often the first person to ask how people were doing and if she could help. She was always there to support the people she cared about whenever she was needed. Her optimism, lighthearted spirit, caring nature, and resilience left a lasting impression on those who knew her.

She enjoyed cooking, trying new foods, crocheting, doing puzzles, and experimenting with makeup. She also loved learning about her Italian heritage and treasured family holiday dinners.

Angela was a Christian of the Lutheran faith. She had a personal relationship with God that guided her values, gave her strength through difficult times, and shaped the compassion and generosity she showed to others.

Angela is survived by her son, Dominick Laurie; her daughter, Julia Hoffman; her father, Terry Laurie; her brother, TJ Laurie; and her sister, Lisa Lester. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Laurie.

Angela will be remembered for her generosity, strength, and unconditional love. Her family will carry forward the example she set: to remain hopeful, care for others, and always face unknowns headfirst with grace.
