Obituary

Annie Cornor was born December 21, 1937 in Anguilla MS. to the late Jessie Conner Sr. and Irene Cody Conner.

Ann was baptized at an early age at True Light M.B. Church under Rev. Williams. She graduated from Sharkey County Training School in May of 1957. Later on that year in December, Ann moved to Chicago, IL. After settling in she joined The Progressive M.B. Church. Under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Mark Garner (her great uncle) she song in the choir.

Ann's first job was at Monarch Metals. She then went on to work at Tootsie Toys and Minit car wash. In 1973 Ann started her career as a C.N.A. at North West Home for the Aged. After 32 years of faithful service, she retired in 2005 with great honors, dedication and appreciation!

Our Shorty was called home at the age of 83 on Thursday, March 11, 2021. She is proceeded in death by: Her two sons AL and Bryant Cornor, her second mother Glady's, three brothers Jessie Jr. Henry Lee and Sydney, a daughter in-law Dorothy Cornor, and a son in-law Frank Horne.

She leaves behind to cherish memories: Four daughter Kathryn Smith, Cynthia (William) Smith, Evelyn Cornor and Yolanda Cornor Horne, one son Cornell (Rida) Cornor, three sisters Jearleen Cody, Beatrice (Willie) Smith and Darlene Corner Hemphill, 6 brothers Rodney Corner, Vincent Corner, Wayne Corner, Shawn Corner, Jay Corner, Jeffrey Corner, 18 Grandchildren, 25+ Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
