Annie B. Young was born on October 15, 1934 in Isola, Mississippi to Lillia and Barren Schaffer. She was a warrior and protector for her children; instilling a culture of a good work ethics, in education, at home and on the job.  She enjoyed life to the very end.  On Christmas Day (2020), she was Full of Life LAUGHING on the phone and video with some of her children.

Six days later (January 01, 2021), the decision was to "go home" after 86 years, to be with her mother and others for the New Year. Annie enjoyed her family; 10 - children, 56 - grandchildren & great grandchildren, 9 - (sisters & brothers) and numerous relatives. Daughters: Betty, Evelyn, Connie, Debra and Cassandra. Sons: Birthon, Rickey, Kenneth, Eugene and Charles.  Daughter in Law: Myrna, Jamise, Lisa and Jennette and Son in Law: Byron and Tim. Sisters:  Callie 100 yrs. (Living), Robirda 96 yrs. (Living) and Willie Evelyn. Brothers:  Lenard, RL, Barron, Bearl, Willie and Albert (Living).

Visitation Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 12:30 pm until time of service 1:30 pm at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside. Interment Oakridge Cemetery.
