Aurelia Ibarra, 67 years old of Chicago, IL.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Aurelia/Bella
(Guela), who passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025 surrounded by family. Born on March 4,
1958 in Sahuayo, Michoacán, MX. Aurelia was known for her amazing cooking, love for
shopping, her crocs & purse collection, & her strength & selflessness.

A dedicated mother & grandmother, Aurelia found joy in roadtrips with her daughter, son-in-law
& grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Ofelia (Daniel) Reyes, Ruben
Avitia, & Francisco Avitia; and grandchildren, Daniel, Linda, Angel, & Gema. She is also
survived by her husband, Guillermo Ibarra; her closest friend, Yolanda Preciado, & numerous
other family members & friends.

Con profundo dolor anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida abuela, Aurelia/Bella
(Guela), quien partió en paz el 23 de mayo de 2025, rodeada de su familia. Nació el 4 de marzo
de 1958 en Sahuayo, Michoacán, México. Aurelia era conocida por su increíble sazón, su amor
por las compras, su colección de crocs y bolsos, y por su fortaleza y generosidad.

Madre y abuela dedicada, Aurelia encontraba alegría en los viajes por carretera con su hija,
yerno y nietos. Será profundamente extrañada por sus amados hijos, Ofelia (Daniel) Reyes,
Rubén Avitia y Francisco Avitia; y sus nietos, Daniel, Linda, Ángel y Gema. También le
sobreviven su esposo, Guillermo Ibarra; su amiga más cercana, Yolanda Preciado, y
numerosos familiares y amigos.

Visitation Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosvelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside/Westchester. Prayers at the funeral home Wednesday 8:45 a.m. to St Leonard Church, Berwyn. Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
