Carol Joyce McMahon passed away at her home in Westchester at the age of 81. She was born in Chicago, IL on December 25, 1939 to Frank and Jarmilla Valenta. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda and Sharon. After many years of doing office work, Carol considered herself fortunate to be able to retire early by the age of 50. She enjoyed spending summer days in her yard, planting and tending to the beautiful flowers around her home. Being a dog-lover all her life, she was happy to provide a home-away-from-home for the dogs of friends when they went on vacation or business trips. Carol also loved to travel- scenic road-trips through Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona, as well as fun vacations with friends or her daughters to Florida, California, Las Vegas, Reno /Lake Tahoe, and a few other destinations which included slot machines.

Services were private. Cremation took place at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside/Westchester.
