David Lester Watts was born as a twin on January 5, 1971 to Charles & Claudia Watts. He was the fifth eldest of 6 children.

David was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Bellwood. he attended Proviso West High School and later moved to Eutaw, Alabama with his grandmother Vera Coyne (who proceeded him in death) and received a certificate as a CNA in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

David met his high school sweetheart LaTonya Jenkins and they had a son Deveon Jenkins who David loved dearly.  On April 14, 2021, David and LaTonya married. David and LaTonya studied the Bible in Fond du lac, Wisconsin.

David loved and cared for so many people, it was shown by his many names. He was known as Beloved to his mother, Papi to his wife, Hollywood to his friends, Paw Paw to his grandchildren and twin to his family.

David was a jack of many trades. He loved to cook, and everyone loved his food! He was a great gardener and a  dependable handyman. He loved to help everyone. David took great pride being with his grandchildren. Along with his grandchildren, everyone knew his greatest inspiration was his best friend and twin brother Darrell.

David leaves to cherish his memory, his wife LaTonya; his parents, mother Claudia, father Charles; loving step mother Lois; his son Deveon (Trinece); his grandmother Lillian; his siblings Vera (Anthony), Chuck (Althea), Leonard, Susan, Darrell (Jackie); his grandchildren Lataiveonna, London, Chelsie, Khalil, Mazi; his bonus siblings Leslie, Milton, Micheal, Raquel and a very special cousin Sherri and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
