Denise F. Kozel, loving mother of Darryl (Mikala) Kozel; dear grandmother of Hunter, Jaxon, Leote & Norah; fond sister of the late Diane Vesely. Owner of Performance Massage Therapy in Oak Park. After the Feb 14 2008 shooting at NIU, she donated her time and gave free massages to anyone on the campus who needed one. Denise graduated from Hubbard High School and Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science (BS)  Human Development and Family Studies, General & Health Education 1971 - 1976. She attended Chicago School of Massage Therapy receiving her certification during1992 - 1993 and was a Licensed Massage Therapist, Performance Massage Therapy Oct 1993 - Present  30 yrs 1 month. Denise was very involved with community work and volunteer work including her involvement with Food Cooperatives and organized them and she was a docent with the Oak Park Conservatory Oct 1993 - Present. Member of Chicago LDS Monarchs. She loved traveling and seeing all the nature around us and was passionate about gardening and plants all around. She loved all four of her grandkids tremendously.
