Donna Lu Cipriani (nee Murphy) , age 62, passed away with her family by her side January 24, 2021. She was born September 6, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois to Donald and Lucielle. Donna is survived by her brother Jim, her two daughters Dana and her husband Cortny, Michelle, and grandchildren Sophia Bowman and Jayden, nieces Julia, nephews James and Joe. Donna was a mentor, a mother, and a loving, caring grandmother and aunt who loved and touched her family deeply. Donna's love for her family and especially her grandchildren was uncompromised and unconditional.

Donna loved to teach, care for children, and spend time with friends at Long Grove strawberry fest and the craft fairs Shipshewana. Her passion, however, was her love of people. Donna worked as an instructional aide at the Westchester Primary School for several years and she spent 25 plus years as a preschool teacher at the Westchester Park District where Donna worked not only teaching Preschool and Smart Start but also assisted with holiday parties, events, taught craft classes, did story time, became magical characters, and helped children develop their personalities, education, talents, and uniqueness. Donna and her friends were passionate about spending time together and loved shopping and gong out to dinner. She also shared her love of parties and celebrations with family and friends making everyone feel welcome with her chili cheese dip and a smile. Her life was a living example of "Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love." Ephesians 4:2
