Eddie L.
Butler Jr.
August 2, 2022
Eddie Lee Butler Jr. AKA Eddie Jr. was born on March 22, 2022 in Chicago, Illinois to Eddie Lee Sr. & Bertha L. Butler. From an early age, it was clear that Eddie Jr. was an extraordinary human being with an endless capacity for love.
As a child, Eddie was curious how things worked and how they were put together. That curiosity continued to adulthood. Give Eddie a problem and he could probably fix it with a 2x4 and some good duct tape. He approached life in the same way. He always did his best to fix any problem family or friends had because that is just the way he was wired. Whenever he was needed, he always rose to the occasion, which was how he became guardian and parent of Loren "Lola", his brother's child. Family was everything to Eddie.
Eddie was a self-taught musician of guitar and many other instruments. He taught himself how to play the left-handed guitar so he could continually increase his skills. Eddie recorded two known albums and played guitar for John Primer on Stuff You Got To Watch and played bass guitar for The Legendary Blues Band on Life of Ease.
Eddie leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving and devoted partner Rachel Innis, daughters Loren "Lola" Noble & Alexa Lee; grandson Caius Abel Butler, brothers Armad Rashad, Pat Varnell, Jerome (Curly) Butler; sisters Kathleen Baggett, Dr. Mildred (Leroy) Phillips, Lydia Butler, Janice Lane, Zettie (Willie) Carter and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends & peers.
