Edward Smith
Jr.
December 18, 2021
Life Reflections: Edward Smith Jr. was born to the parents of Cheryl Williams and Edward Smith SR. on May 17 1984 in Chicago Illinois.
Edward was raised in Bellwood, IL where he attended Lincoln Elementary and Roosevelt Junior High School. He graduated with his diploma from Lake Park High School in Roselle IL, 2002.
He participated in multiple sports throughout his youth into his high school years.
Edward has always been a hard-working, independent man. He started his first job at the age of 13, with the village of Bellwood painting sidewalks. He went on to have a career in customer service which led to his love for IT where he achieved his certification from Computer System Institute. Most recently he started a catering business along with the mother of his son, Amanda Lopez. He was passionate about building a legacy for his children. His goal was to be his own boss so he worked endlessly promoting and building the brand Mandi's Meals.
Edward was the life of every party. His passion was in dancing, he would footwork and belly roll on any occasion. It was almost as if he had a never-ending internal beat. At any event, the party didn't start until he walked in. Despite his torn Achilles, you would still find him on the dance floor, boot on with cane in hand. He loved his red Monte Carlo so much he joined a car club called Elite Monte Carlo Rydaz. He then took an interest in motorcycles where he enjoyed riding with friends. His dreams were to purchase a Harley Davidson which he would say was a "grown man bike".
Although he was never married his legacy will live through his two children, Briciah and Sebastian Smith; his parents are Cheryl Williams-Higgins, Edward Smith Sr. and stepfather George Higgins; his four sisters, Deyondra Stanciel (Kwonnie), Julia Hawkins (Emmanuel), Rachel Smith (Stephen), and Adriel Williams; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded by his grandparents, Florida and Birdell Williams along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.
