Obituary

Born in Seoul, South Korea, beloved sister, aunt, great aunt, and wife, Eun Hee (Park) Kuhn, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 20, 2024 and reunited with her late husband, Raymond. The third born of eight siblings, she was the matriarch and core of her family. Having lived a full and remarkable life, she married her beloved husband, Raymond in 1967. They spent the early part of their marriage farming, and later opened Eun Hee's Fine Gifts in town. They were proud residents of Ossian, providing support for the local community, church and land development.

She touched the lives of everyone she met. Her stories of Korea, Iowa farming and family impact during the war evidenced her strength and tenacious personality. She endured so much and had incredible life experiences. She truly loved to share beautiful things with those around her. She proudly displayed her impressive Precious Moments collection, crystal bowls, and figurines. She meticulously tended to her roses and ponds for all to enjoy. Ray and Eun Hee became avid swan breeders which stemmed from a gift from husband to wife, when Ray gifted Charlie and Gretal to Eun Hee as a symbol of his love. That gift grew for many in the community to enjoy.

Ray and Eun Hee's legacy will live on through the family whom they sponsored over the years. Survived by her siblings, Ae Sun, Ho Nam, Duck Soon, Yong Soon, and Young Nam. She is preceded in death by her parents, older brother, Bok Nam, older sister, Jum Soon, and her husband, Raymond.

She will continue to live on in the hearts of her siblings, nieces and nephews, and her grandnieces and grandnephews: Man Soo and Eun Sook (Aaron, Daniel (Hye Bin)), Myung Hee (Dong Chul (Yoon Hee) Kathy (Ho Seung)), Suzanne and Takayuki (Akira, Joshua (Cristina), Hiroki, Koki), Il Kon and Mi Hee (Brandon, Cody. Jia), Sara and Kent (Crystal (Ian), Kasey, Bobby), Rick, George and Eun Mi (Allen (Janice), Michael, James, Daniel, John), Sam and Ella (Chloe, Zoe), Hanna and Min (Morgan, Madeleine (Sean), MacKenzie), Diane and Bobby (Matthew), Chang Gun, Myun Gun, Dianna and Chad (Lucia, Julian, Beau), Steve and Kumiko (Andrew, Alex, Emily), Vanessa and Bryan (Nicholas, Alexis), John, Paul and Eunice, Grace and Jay (Piper).

Eun Hee was truly happiest receiving hugs and exchanging smiles with the newest members of the family: Liam, Carter, Ascher, Eric, Emily, Ella, Andrew, Johann, Karis, Avery, Haven, and Yuuki.

She will be dearly missed by all. This is not Goodbye, just, until we meet again.
