Gerald F. "Jerry" Volkmar; age 93; formerly of Westchester and Plainfield; passed peacefully at Allure of Geneseo with his family at his side. Devoted husband of the late Doris (nee Backof); loving father of Pamela (Brook) Martens and the late Diane Nichols; proud grandfather of Andrew (Ashley) & Jake (Taylor) Martens and Michael, Megan & the late Matthew Gregory; adored great grandfather of Brock; fond brother of the late Marguerite (late John) Tyler, the late William (late Bernice) Volkmar, the late Marie (late Wally) Erlinghagen, the late Dolores (late Clarence) Grams and the late baby Edwin.

Visitation Friday 4:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside/Westchester.  Lying-in-state Saturday 12:30 p.m. until time of service 1:00 p.m. at Westchester Community Church, 1840 Westchester Blvd, Weschester.
