A LIFE REMEMBERED

Grammer Lee Taylor, was born on July 20,1945, to Fred and Lee Ella Taylor Sr., in Doss, La. Grammer accepted Christ at an early age, at Little Bethany Church in Doss, La. After attending Miles High School in Sterling, La., Grammer moved to Chicago, IL. For several years he worked various jobs. Grammer retired from Chicago Transit Authority on December 31, 1997. On January 4, 2009, Grammer officially became a member of Broadview Missionary Baptist Church and served on the security ministry until his health failed him. He answered God's call on September 24, 2021.

Grammer was preceded in death by both his parents Fred Taylor Sr. and Lee Ella Taylor, wife Peggy Ann Taylor, brothers Fred Taylor Jr. and Jessie James Taylor, sisters Willie B. James, Ethel Murphy, Mattie Fuller, and Mary Ann Taylor, and Shelia Gray.

Grammer leaves to cherish his memories: Daughters Jacqueline Hardy (Jesse) Monroe, La., Tara Yvette Albrition (Keith) Springfield, IL., Astrid Dawn Taylor-Jackson (Jermain) Maywood, IL, Son Grammer Tyrone Taylor (Jewel) Lebanon, Tn., Special daughter in law Angela Taylor Aurora, IL., Special granddaughter Janiyah Williams Crest Hill, IL., Brothers Melvin Ray Taylor Victorville, Ca., and Lee Edward Taylor of Georgia, Sisters Elizabeth Adams Rockford, IL., Evelyn Thompson (Archie) Vancouver, Wa., and Pinkie Ruth Crouch (John) of Georgia, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.

Visitation Sunday October 10, 2021 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Monday from 10:00 am until time of Service 11:00 am, at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside/Westchester. Interment Glen Oak Cemetery. Funeral Info: 800-562-0082
