James Hugh Richardson was born April 4, 1954 in Houston Mississippi to the late William Richardson Sr. and Fair Rilla Wright Richardson.

James professed hope in Christ at an early age at Bethlehem M.B. Church in Houston Mississippi. While living in Washington he recommitted himself to the Lord and became a Deacon at Woodbrook Community Church under Bishop Jeffery Jones

James was blessed with a large and loving family. He leaves to cherish his memories one special friend Annie Wilson, two sons Tyrone Richardson and Carlos Richardson (Sarah), Two Grand children, Dante James Richardson and Mya Grace Richardson, One Brother William Richardson Jr. (Gloria) seven Sisters Henrietta Williams, Mary Thomas, Ora Morris, Emma Knox, Rosie Hamilton, Betty Johnson and Willie Jean Graham (Eddie), a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and a host of friends.

James departed this life on March 8, 2022 at his brother's house while spending time with family. He was proceeded in death by two sisters, Lucille Calvin and Ruby Tyson and one brother Charles Lee Richardson.

Visitation Friday, March 18, 2022 from 1:00 pm until time of service 2:00 pm at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside/Westchester. Interment Oakridge Cemetery. Info: 800-562-0082
