In Loving Memory

Jeanine Rae Mengarelli was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She left this world and was reunited with her one true love, Raymond, on February 13, 2022, at the age of 73.

Jeanine was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on February 18, 1948 to the late Thomas and Evelyn Hanwell. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Robert and Michael; granddaughters, Marissa and Brianna; sister and brother-in-law Jacquelyn and John Burmeister; sister-in-law Doris Golbeck, and numerous other family members and friends. Jeanine was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; parents, Thomas and Evelyn Hanwell; and brother Jeff .

Jeanine had an infectious smile that could light up any room. Her positive outlook on life and generous heart will forever hold a place in the hearts of many. She was an animal lover and brought joy to anyone who was lucky enough to cross her path. Those fortunate enough to have known Jeanine, will carry her memory with them proudly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside. Service to be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 24 ^th 10:30 AM. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Christ the King Mausoleum.
