John R. Heiberger, age 81, of Westchester, Illinois (formerly of Chicago), passed away on July 21, 2021. John was born to the late Frank and Rose Heiberger on March 9, 1940. John grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Parish. He was a beloved neighbor on the 2300 block of North Harding Ave, where he spent all of his childhood and lived until age 50. John was the last surviving of five brothers, including Frank (the late Mary), Raymond, Joseph (the late Sandy) and Michael (Marylynn, nee Coco). John was the heart and soul of a far-reaching family which includes many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. For the past decade, John has lived at the Aspire Bond home, with new family members Ben, Eddie, David, Rocco, and Brian, as well as the late Eddie and the late Baron. John's Aspire family helped bring companionship, dignity and fun to the last years of his life. Many thanks on behalf of the Heiberger family to Aspire, including Jim Kales, Anne Shannon and the many team members at Aspire who cared so deeply for John during his time there.

The family will host a small gathering for friends on Saturday August 7, 2021 with a prayer service at 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. and visitation continuing until  10:30am at Hursen Funeral Home 4001 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois, followed by a private burial.
