Obituary

Jose Juan Martinez Mendoza emanated love wherever he went. With just one simple conversation, he captivated others to appreciate and love the simplicities of life. His laugh made anyone forget their woes; his hugs melted all your stress away; and his heart simply made everyone family.

Jose began life in San Luis Potosi, where his grandparents, the late Rosa and Jose Mendoza, spent his early years alongside him. Jose then joined his parents and siblings in Texas. The family later moved to Chicago where Jose spent the majority of his life making his parents, siblings, and extended family feel protected and loved; especially becoming an uncle to many.

Jose had begun a new chapter in California, where he was able to enamor more friends and his in-laws. His passions for traveling took him down and up the Pacific Coast, as well as all over the United States. Jose epitomized the perfect spouse, son in-law, brother in-law, nephew, and grandson to his wife's extended family.

Jose gained his wings surrounded by the love of family and friends who will forevermore have a place in their hearts for him.

Jose is survived by his mother, Martha Mendoza Torres; siblings Maria (Joel) Rodriguez, Ricardo Martinez, Mariana (Jesus) Gonzales, Norma Martinez; and beloved wife, Branda. "
