Joseph Patrick Courtney Jr., beloved son of the late Joseph Sr. & Mary (nee Dillon); loving brother of Mary Ann Henza, Russell, the late James & the late Roger Courtney; cherished uncle of Margaret Calderone & Jason Henza; fond great uncle of Victoria (Eduardo) Moreria, Meghan & Gregory Calderone; devoted nephew of  Martha Dillon. Proud Member of the American Legion Post # 187, Elmhurst. Joseph was devoted to the Drum & Bugle Corps activity. He participated as a  performer, instructor, director, contest coordinator, & adjudicator.

Visitation Thursday 3-8 p.m. at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside/Westchester. Prayers Friday 9 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Domitilla Church. Mass 10 a.m.
