Juanita
Olbera
July 26, 2023
Juanita N. Olbera passed away on Wednesday July 26th, 2023 at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood. She was born on May 28, 1976 in Chicago. She is the daughter of the late Marvin R. Olvera and Norma (nee Espinosa) Arzola.
Juanita was a loving, caring, and generous person who enjoyed spending time with her friends. She was always there for someone when they needed it and wouldn't hesitate to give you the shirt off her back. Juanita lived life to the fullest, always looking for new adventures. Juanita was a compassionate and spontaneous individual who was always making memories. She was the definition of "go with the flow".
Even if you didn't mean to, she could make you smile from ear to ear. Her laugh could be heard miles away. If you were upset she would do anything in her power to make you feel better.
She loved her games and watching movies and television shows. If that did not entertain her, her phone was always on her hip. She often was referred to as the original GPS, due to her ability to navigate almost anywhere in Chicagoland.
She was a single mother of 4 and did her best to raise her children to be the best they could be. She taught her kids to be independent, giving, and a good friend. She will be missed dearly by many and her adventurous spirit will live on through her children.
Juanita leaves behind her mother Norma (George) Arzola, her four children Michael Vizueta, Bianca Fitzsimmons, Brianna Fitzsimmons, and Cristian Fitzsimmons. She also leaves behind her siblings Angela (Michael) Marquez, Raymond Olvera, Rachel Olvera, Anthony (Alecia Loy) Arzola, and Michael Arzola. In addition, she leaves behind her grandson, Isaiah Lastovich. Lastly, Juanita will be remembered by cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends, so numerous that it would be impossible to list them all.
She is preceded in death by her father Marvin R. Olvera.
Please make donations in the name of her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday August, 4th 2023 from 3-7PM at Hursen Funeral Home, 4001 Roosevelt Rd. Hillside, IL 60162 (708) 547-8200. A chapel service will begin at 7PM.
