On Monday May 2 ^nd we lost our beloved Kalpagam Ramadurai (DOB: August 24, 1939). At the time, Kalpagam was residing with her eldest son, Raghu, in Chicago.

Kalpagam was one of nine siblings and was Amma (mother) to three sons – Raghu, Murali, and Govind, Kappu Patti (grandmother) to eight grandchildren, and in the last year, even had the blessing of becoming a Kollu Patti (great grandmother).

Widowed at 49, Kalpagam exemplified resilience, and poured love to all those close to her through her phenomenal skills in the kitchen – always keeping her children and grandchildren's bellies full.

We will be honoring her life on Wednesday May 4, 2022, at the same funeral home we said goodbye to her late husband T.S. Ramadurai.
