Leon Alle n was born on Monday, February 21, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Grace Feazell and Leroy Allen. Leon accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and baptized by Reverend August Minor at Union Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member of the choir. His family later moved to Maywood, IL, where he attended and graduated from Irving Elementary in 1971 and attended Proviso East High School. As a young man Leon loved to hunt and fish with his dad. Leon also assisted Pastor Ricky Harris with maintaining Alpha & Omega Church, where he became a loyal patron of the church. Leon was a gentleman, with a humble spirit, well dressed, and had an infectious laugh and smile that would light up the room. He loved to listen to music; he loved to dance and was a smooth "stepper", a Fred Astaire of his time. Later, Leon met his partner, Ernestine Gray, which they were together until his untimely death.
