Linda Martinez, of Schererville, Indiana; Lifetime love to her husband of fifty years Juan A. Martinez; treasured mother of Juan & Jessica; adored grandmother of  Aliya and Alex; loving sister of  Annamarie Ortega, Elaine (John) Samansky, Charles Tappin, the late Edward Neerose and the late Rita (Bob) Hubert; cherished aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Linda's amazing strength was legendary ! She was very protective and fearless when it came to family and friends. You knew who you needed in your corner. She was a Warrior. She had genuine love for everyone she knew.  Linda was known for being a whiskey connoisseur and enjoyed sharing her knowledge and recommendations. One of Linda's favorite place to travel was Las Vegas, staying at different hotels each time which always included early morning searches  for her at the slot machines. Linda thought living in Indiana was a blessing with the Blue Chip, Horseshoe and Ameristar Casinos were a short drive away.

Visitation Tuesday, January 31, 2023, 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside/Westchester. Funeral service Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
