London Vernon Trent, 98, of Hillside. Passed away peacefully at Hines VA Hospital on Monday June 24, 2024. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Alfonsina Trent née Gutierrez and daughter Gail.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Trent & Gertrude Trent née Bowman, daughter Paula and his grandmother Nora Bowman. London was one of seven children. His siblings were Ethel, Rolland, Robert Jr, Geneive, Wanetta and Kenneth Trent.

At the age of 17, London enlisted in the US Navy. He served World War II  and was Honorably discharged on November of 1945.

Funeral visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of service 12:00 pm at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads in Hillside. Military Honors and Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery,  20953 W Hoff Road, Elwood, Illinois.
