Obituary

Lynn Bannon, 89, died January 1, 2021, in Carle Hospital, Urbana, IL. she was born December 17, 1931, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Thomas and June Carduff.

She was a registered nurse and worked many years for an eye, ear, nose and throat doctor.

She married John "Jack" Bannon on October 17, 1959. Once they adopted children, she stayed home to raise them. She loved children so much, that she started an in-home daycare once her children began school. After her husband died in 1986, she re-entered the workforce as a receptionist for Sexton Co.  After she retired, she moved to Decatur, IL. She was a member of St Patrick's Catholic Church and volunteered many years at the Decatur Memorial Hospital Thrift Shop.

More than anything, Lynn loved her family. She was the biggest supporter, comforter and cheerleader to her children and loved her grandchildren to the moon and back.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and brother Tom. Surviving are her daughter MaryPat (Randy) Fehrenbacher of Dalton City, IL, son Tom Bannon (Pam Scarpace) of Sandwich, IL, grandchildren Amy, Lane, Jameson and maddie, five great grandchildren, her brother Jack (Jan) Carduff of Wichita, KS and many special nieces and nephews.

Visitation Tuesday, January 5, at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside/Westchester. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illlinois.
