Maurice J. McCarthy, age 87 of Westchester, passed away on August 12, 2021. He was a Westchester resident for 52 years.

Loving husband of the late Mary E. Donnellon and father of Maura K. Burke of Westchester and James R. McCarthy of Indiana. Fond grandfather of Emily and Adam. Dear brother of Sister Maura McCarthy, PBVM, the late Thomas (the late Bonnie), the late Mary, and Monica (the late Max) Holeman. Wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews across Iowa and Illinois.

Maurice, often called "Maury" or "Mac" by his many friends and colleagues, was born in Waukon, Iowa and raised on a farm there. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and settled in Chicago after being discharged. He worked as a steel salesman for Ryerson. Maurice was a faithful member of Divine Infant Parish since moving to Westchester. He volunteered countless hours at Divine Infant School, along with Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Joseph High Schools. He was a volunteer for BEDS Plus Care and a committed member of the Society of St. Vincent DePaul. Maurice never said no to helping others.

Visitation Saturday, August 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Divine Infant Church, 1600 Newcastle, Westchester, IL followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Internment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
