Obituary

Milton W. Sabel was born in Fond du lac, Wisconsin on April 13, 1931 to Anton and Maude (nee Thresher) Sabel. . In 1955 he married Beverly (nee Steinberg) Sabel. He was blessed with two children, Karen (Jim) Beke, and Michael (Diane) Sabel, and two granddaughters Nicole and Leann.

He was stationed in Korea from 1952 to 1954 as a military police guard in a prisoner of war camp. When he was discharged from the service he worked at Commonwealth Edison as a trouble shooter, and later as a planner.

He enjoyed square dancing, was good at fixing anything, and enjoyed cards, and dominos.

Proud member of the VFW and American Legion.

He will be missed by his family, many relatives and friends.

Visitation Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and Wednesday 10:00am until time of Service 11:30am at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside/Westchester. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Honors 1:30pm.
