Neomia Johnson was born September 23, 1935, in Eudora, Arkansas to the late Lee Anna Anderson and late Alonzo Johnson.  Neomia was the oldest of six children.  Her Brother Jessie who preceded her in death, brothers Lee Otis Hall lives in Bellwood, IL., Freddie Anderson lives in Atlanta, Ga, sisters Valen Jean Anderson and Jane Ann Anderson lives in Oak grove Louisiana, her Son David Lee and her Daughter Patricia preceded her in death.  Neomia was called home on January 17, 2022, at Bridgeway Senior living, in Bensenville, Illinois.

Neomia moved to Chicago Illinois in 1955.  Neomia was a devoted mother of 6 children, son David Lee Anderson, daughters Joyce Slatton-Irwig and Patricia Johnson, sons Donald Johnson, Anthony Johnson, and Danny Johnson.  Neomia was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.  Neomia wanted a better life for her children, she attended night school, an received a certificate of training in Certified Nursing Assistance.  Neomia was a very hard and dedicated worker in the field of Certified Nursing Assistance for 35 years.

Neomia is survived by her 4 children Joyce Slatton-Irwig, Donald Johnson, Anthony Johnson, and Danny Johnson.  Her grandchildren, Roderic Slatton, Crystal Slatton, Cletha Anderson, David Anderson Jr., Torey Anderson, Tatiana Watson, Marcus Watson, Tawanna Johnson, Trinia Johnson, Dominque Johnson, Ladonna Johnson, Shanequa Johnson, Khyrhonn Johnson, many great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
