Richard G. Zilligen formerly of River Forest, IL, former husband of Joan nee Short; loving father of Glenn (Jane), Susan, Jacquelyn, Barbara, & Jon Zilligen, and Debra Danielson, & Lyn (Brian) Condon; dear grandfather of 23; great grandfather of 24; fond brother of Tom (Martha), James, and the late Robert, & Terry Zilligen; uncle of many.

Richard was a member of St. Luke Church for over 45 years. He attended St. Luke's School and Fenwick High School in his youth. Richard married Joan Short (Zilligen). Then Joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, CO for 2 years. Richard then worked as a stationary engineer at Wieboldts, River Forest and The Suntimes, Chicago.

Visitation Friday, September 9, 2022 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads, Hillside. Prayers Saturday 9:00am from the Funeral Home to St. Luke Church, River Forest. Mass 10:00 am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Info: 800-562-0082
