Bob also known to many as Bandana Bob, passed away peacedully on April 22, 2026- Earth Day. Leaving behind a legacy of kindness and passion. An avid lover of nature and animals. He Spent countless hours feeding the birds in his backyard and basking in the quiet of the forest. He was a devoted volunteer at the Cook County Forest Preserve. Bob found joy in Kayaking, attending a variety of live music venues like Lollapalooza and meeting up with friends. Bob was the head of maintenance at the Westchester Public Library, he was a steady, dedicated presence. A strict vegan with a gentle soul, a friend to many, and always someone you could have a good conversation with. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Funeral visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, SW corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Roads in Hillside/Westchester. Funeral Service Friday at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
