Robert Lee Moore Sr. was born on July 25, 1930, to the union of Judge and Savannah
Moore in Sterlington, Louisiana. In 1953 in Jones, Louisiana, Robert met and fell in love
with Fessie Johnson. After a beautiful courtship, Fessie and Robert committed to each
other and married in holy matrimony. During the marriage, they brought forth nine
children.
Robert L. Moore Sr. departed this life on Tuesday, December 21, 2020. He was preceded
in death by his father, Judge Moore, his mother, Savannah Moore, his sisters Irene,
Serena, Ruth and Willie Mae and his grandsons, JeMarcus Brown and Dennis Moore Jr.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Fessie Moore of
Bloomingdale, IL; his children Barbara Johnson (Joe) Irving, TX; Larry Moore (Debra)
Calumet City, IL; Robert Moore Jr. (Jill) of Skokie, IL; Vera Taylor (Robert) of
Bloomingdale, IL; Sandra Moore of Skokie, IL; Doris Moore of Skokie, IL; Dennis Moore
of Des Plaines, IL; Kenneth Moore of Glendale Heights, IL, and Cathy Stirgus of
Addison, TX; 31 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a
host of nieces, nephews and close family friends
