Vianey Eligio was the beloved wife of Mario Eligio; loving mother of Daisy; devoted daughter of Esther and the late Odilon Velazquez; dear sister of Abimael (Melissa), her twin, Noemi Velazquez, Jaime Velazquez, and Leticia (Dean) Mendia; and a cherished aunt and friend to many.

Vianey will always be a beloved soul, cherished by many. She remained a strong warrior throughout her 10-year battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Even during her illness, she continued to dance and make friends wherever she went. Vianey lived life to the fullest alongside her family, her dogs, and childhood friends of 40 years.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, at the southwest corner of Roosevelt and Mannheim Roads in Hillside. Interment will follow at Montrose Cemetery in Chicago.
